Hi!
I recently published an article focused on Spring shoes. The intention was to include clothing as well, but when it comes to shoes I get easily distracted… so here is part 2 of Spring fashion research.
As usual I won’t include basic fast fashion (Zara, Mango etc.) and super brands/high end - items from these two categories are the easiest to find :)
This weeks’ search - spring essentials part 2
The basics
The perfect shirt does exist , and it is from either of these brands. Instant elevation to any outfit, perfect for layering.
With Nothing Underneath - especially the boyfriend (size up!) and this denim one

E Nolan - this smoking inspired version, size up to wear as a dress!
Toteme - what’s not to love from Toteme, but in particular the classic navy stripe one
Rise & Fall at great prices!
To be layered under jumpers and blazers for the colder days, over a tank on the warmer ones.
Light knitwear is the key to deal with changeable weather, cold mornings and hot afternoons.
Some good options (just links, no photos as these all look boring. However, they’re very handy):
Rise & Fall, cardigans and jumpers

Babaa - in this case chunky cotton rather than thin wool.

Basics that always work: Falconeri for higher quality, Uniqlo (I know I said no basic fast fashion but these are really good, Benetton
To be layered over or under other layers, remove as needed and throw it on your shoulders.
I have already talked about jeans here, and will follow up with the perfect with tee soon.
Jackets
Trench coat
I am not the biggest fan nor user (too light for when it’s cold, too heavy for when it’s actually warm), but I constantly see all the girlies here in England wearing them, and they look super cool. The coat MUST be oversized, I prefer them in grey or green. Some options
The Frankie Shop Never disappoints when it comes to coats and outwear: in navy, black, beige . Many other options available. Sign up for restock notification or search on e-commerce retailers
Axel Arigato - I love the colours. Slate Grey, Mint and Brown (on sale!)
Leather long (trench) coat
Now this makes much more sense to me because it is heavy enough to actually keep you warm. Here is difficult to avoid fast fashion or super expensive items. Best option is second hand or local leather shops. A good selection you can find online:
Nanushka - super cool shapes and colours, like Keano, Amelie, and Mariella. All (very high quality) faux leather but for a very high price
Nour Ammour - Perfect genuine leather option (but pretty expensive); available in various colours
If you’re in London or UK based, I got this one in a Notting Hill shop, but I recommend purchasing online. In store they definitely overchange compared to what you find online. I managed to negotiate 50% off, which was still more than what’s stated online. it’s true leather and quality is ok, however, do not pay more than 130£ as stated on the website (I unfortunately did..).
Also, I am telling you, suede jackets will be back very soon! I am on the hunt for the perfect suede short jacket. In genuine leather, the price goes easily and quickly up to 1000£, but I believe a lot can be found in the second hand market or on Etsy. A shortlist below!
Source unknown - double breasted, collared, blazer in real leather and in faux leather

Etsy: if you have the personality to wear fringes, a la Leandra Cohen; a basic one and a vintage one

Vestiaire: cropped Acne at a decent price, bomber style from Frame, a very cool one with an overshirt style (from Marks&Spencer, to be negotiated at a lower price… for non British people, they are mainly a food chain that also has a clothing line, usually not great but sometimes you find a random gem)

I purposely left classic biker jackets out, there are thousands of them available both new and second hand so you don’t need me for this. Ideally get it in real leather and not too fitted!
The Fun One
See through skirts, in light materials like organza (dreamy Prada 1), thin knit, fringes (dreamy Prada 2) are the season must have. A bit Saint Laurent AW24, a bit Bella Baxter too.
Second female - a fringe alternative
To wear with an oversized blazer, t-shirt or a long shirt.
Ciao!
